What SEO Software do you Use? Tried SheerSEO?

This post is from the owner of the SheerSEO software application, which I haven’t tried but it looks pretty nice to me (no, this is not a paid post, I just like him and he was kind enough to contribute some good points). I have used WebPosition, WebCEO, Advanced Web Ranking and just about every SEO rankings software package out there. They all do pretty much the same thing, it’s just a matter of presentation. At the end of the post, tell me which SEO Rankings and SMO analytics software you use and why you like or hate it.

For new website owners, using an SEO software or web optimization software is most basic. These software packages provide tools that give direction on how to effectively optimize website contents for better search engine visibility. SEO software offers a myriad of optimization tools, such as keyword generation, rank checking, onpage audits and backlink checking, all aimed to get your website on top. Basically, software packages are more affordable than hiring SEO companies for internet marketing services.

But before shelling out a large sum of money on any software, it is important to consider which SEO tools best suit your website. It is important to consider and compare all options available for you to arrive at the best decision. While there are tons of SEO software products sold online, most of them offer false promises, simply hyping and exaggerating their claims to boost their sales. Perhaps, this is one big problem that confronts all new website owners. The industry has its own share of “rotten apples” that you have to avoid as much as possible.

The promises are usually first page rankings or even first rank, but the reality is that no one can guarantee that. Neither SEO software nor any SEO professional. That can be easily proven by using logic – if there was such a software that can guarantee first page, think what would happen if 11 websites, competing for the same keyword, use it. There are just 10 places in that first page…

Hence, when looking for optimization software, you need to remember that there’s ABSOLUTELY NO SHORTCUT in notching the top spot. It requires dedication, hard work, and patience to achieve your dream rank. Always set realistic goals and never expect too much. Better yet, go for programs like SheerSEO that give truthful claims on how the software tools can help boost your website’s visibility. The claims are only for saving your time and making your work more effective. That is the only claim you should be looking for.

Below are some of the common problems why many webmasters feel that their SEO software is failing.

  1. Expecting too much
As all expert website owners repeatedly say, effective SEO campaign does not happen overnight. For your website to rank in search engines, you must be prepared to invest time and effort, which means at least 3 months, before you see tangible results.
  2. Expecting too soon
SEO is not a one time effort, as one might hope. To get high ranking, the website backlinks should keep progressing and the content should added. No single one time effort is enough. This is simply too suspicious and search engines know how to identify that. Also, results come slowly. It takes time for the search engines to scan your changes. That might take a few weeks for them to pick up your new pages, and pages that have links to your site. Even after those pages are picked up, it would take some more time for them to effect your rankings. So, patiance is a must in this game of SEO.
  3. Underestimate the costs of optimization
One main reason why websites fail at SEO is that owners are not prepared to shoulder added expenses. Often times, one SEO software suit is not enough to throttle your website on Google ranking. Aside from investing on time and effort, getting to the top spot requires a hefty amount of some. Take note that the cost of failure is relatively more expensive than actually investing on the best SEO campaign strategies.

So, to summarize,  software of the SEO variety is definitely something to consider, as long as you know what to expect from it. It should help you see the relevant info clearly, and save your time. Nothing more. Don’t expect magic, cause it is simply not there. Some SEO software packages like sheerseo.com, do nice work with plenty of features and free trials, so you can try them and see if they help you.

  1. Web CEO is a great bit of kit for analysing your historical seo progress, but does nothing to your actual rankings. The link building tab leaves most of the work up to you. Then you can either use a tool like Ignite SEO to build the links automatically, or find some good footprints and do it yourself.
